Permeable Driveway
The customer on this job had recently moved in and wanted to extend there driveway and add a bit of character to the front of the property.
The total area was just shy of 75 sq m and the difference in final ground levels required a small retaining wall in the shape of solid Oak sleepers.
During the dig we removed 22 T of turf and top soil.
In the base of the dig a geo textile heavy duty membrane was laid to help stabilize the driveway and on top was laid 4 inches of 50 mm to dust aggregates in the form of road scalpings.
The finished surface was a further 2 inches of 10 mm shingle. Not only is this a completely permeable surface and relatively cheap it also adds to extra security to any property.
